Squirrel Nest
It's nap time in the squirrel nest, which means perfect timing for hungry outsiders to strike!
The intent with this project was to get more comfortable with creating vegetation
and high-fidelity animals. Everything's rendered in Unreal Engine 5.
Trees were created with Speedtree. They ended up mostly in the backdrop, but planning to use them more in future projects!
Apart from making vegetation, creating animals with strand fur was also new to me.
Was great fun!
Tree trunks and ground was scanned with traditional photogrammetry workflows,
while leaves were captured with photometric stereo techniques.
Used the Maya plug-ins Yeti and Advanced Skeleton to create fur and rigs.
